CHIN CHIN & B.J.COLE LIVE IN LEICESTER April 22nd 2005. Prepare for a lo_tempo_mixed_media onslaught as Deep-Water/Bathysphere take over Leicester's illustrious Phoenix Arts Centre for the first of a series of three events called 'BATHYSPHERE NIGHTS'. DJs in the bar, installation work in the cafe area and big screen big sound experiences in the big room. The main attraction is a sit-down event in the cinematic auditorium with live performances from CHIN CHIN and BJ COLE, both assisted by Bathysphere's visual_hi_power scintillating lush-o-rama effect. CHIN CHIN 'SHALLOW DIVE' LP/CD due 9.05.05 Chin Chin’s debut on Deep-Water Recordings is a luscious down-tempo treat not to be missed. ‘ShallowDive’ is what happens when three strong musical personalities team up intent on producing a record thatmarries the acoustic with the electronic via a creative process honed from years of playing live. Chin Chin are Frankie Binns, Theresa Connelly and Chris Cousin (aka SofaLofa on AI records) and are hereunder the guidance of midlands based production moguls Bathysphere. ‘Shallow Dive’ nods at the like ofMatthew Herbert, Four_tet and Cinematic Orchestra through it’s beautifully conceived wistful elegance.

BATHYSPHERE LO_TEMPO HI_FI ARENA mk.II meets the BATHYSPHERE NANOPLEX at Leicester's Summer Sundae festival 2005. Plans are still being drawn-up but it will be longer and wider than last year and will include the all-new Bathysphere Nanoplex mobile moving image centre as well as a host of lo_tempo artists live on stage. CHIN CHIN EP DUE FOR RELEASE It'll be in the shops late November and is crammed to the fullness with wistful melodic trickery courtesy of the 3 chinned massive. Big thanks must also go to ISAN for their remix of 'Shallow Dive' which is lurking on the back-side of the tremendous '2FT DEEP PONDS EP', and also for Headlining our LO_TEMPO_HI_FI_ARENA at this years Summer Sundae Festival.

JOHN PEEL - KING OF INDEPENDENT MUSIC He will be sadly missed by anyone with an interest in just about any kid of independent music. For us he was the first hi-profile DJ to pay us any attention - attention which lead to Hint's invitation to record a Peel session for Radio 1 at Maida Vale - all in the wake of Hint's 'Beau Selectah' EP which we had just released on Deep-Water Recordings. Thanks John, you rule ;-)
